So we have installed some of our ceiling which looks GREAT! We've installed our window, our new exhaust fan and the drywall! We got a lot done this month. It's finally starting to show!

Every time you leave a comment I come over to see how you guys are doing. Major progress here! Those T&G boards on the ceiling look amazing... great alternative to sheetrock!

Thanks! We like it a lot although we didn't expect it to take the same amount of time as drywall and mud.

I really dig the ceiling. Is it standard wood paneling? How'd you apply it, what was the cost prsqft, etc.

Would love some details.

Thanks! It's pine tongue-and-groove and it was something like $1.20 - $1.50 per s.f. We painted it first, then installed it board by board to the ceiling and did a final touch up coat of paint over the whole thing. We had to use wood filler for some of the joints and for all of the little nailholes where we couldn't blind nail it.

Still easier than drywalling, mudding and sanding!
